We went to t-street yesterday with my mom, 2 sisters, and 2 aunts. Gorgeous day for lazing around by the ocean...

my only willing model

I may have found extra value in this new family member. Although, at just 4 months old, she is a bit wild for extra crisp and easy portraits.

... that I finally learned how to use my camera meter? Oi vey. Only took me a year!

We visited the Farmer's Market downtown this morning...

They had free facepainting, which E had to be coerced into getting since she was being a lil poop all morning. The quote from Gen. Douglas MacArthur was etched in cement on the ground:
In the evolution of civilization, if it is to survive,
cannot fail
eventually to adopt Gandhi's belief that
the process of mass application
of force to resolve
contentious issues is fundamentally not only

wrong but contains within itself
the germs of self-destruction.

Very serious. Unlike facepainting.

My fam & I celebrated with our good friends this year. Great BBQ and pool party that culminated with a backyard fireworks show. Too much fun...

ready to rock n roll... in space

If I want to improve to the point that I can actually advertise my skills (for REAL this time!), I must get to the place where I feel "worthy" of people's time, trust, and cold, hard cash. Therefore, I renew my efforts at taking photos everyday in all sorts of situations and lighting challenges.

On a family journal note: here are the girls enjoying what they love most about hair-washing day. They are getting pretty inventive with it, don't you think?!
