ca museum of science

we didn't have much time to spend there today but we did get to see some cool stuff.
This skeleton was in the "Life Lab"; go figure.

we also met my mom, 2 aunts, abuelita, and uncle at a yummy ecuadorian restaurant in echo park (for an early dinner before the ice cream dessert). these last 2 shots are of my burly man looking oh-so-manly licking his spumoni spoon and a sign on the way to the restaurant.

fosselman's ice cream

...best in the whole wide world.

your greatest hope shall be that you have a pair of wings looking down on you from above.

[horse people]

I have such respect for horses and those who keep them. They are WAY too big to be considered a in anyway a "pet" in my opinion. Seeing the love between my sister and her horse and my aunt and hers gives me pause for the beauty of all relationships between man and the beasts we were charged with caring for.

oh to be by the sea

I just love Westways magazine. The day trip feature is so absolutely cool. Today we ventured to Oceanside to see what we could see, see, see. We took the advice of the mag and went to the Hill Street Cafe and gallery for some yummy natural food. Then Len and I watched the girls frolick in the waves for a few hours, both of us deep in thought about how, oh, HOW we could return to the shore...
