We Now Return To Our Regularly Scheduled Program: Diary of A Mad Homeschooler

an announcement...

As you may have read here on this blog, I have found it necessary to start homeschooling my 8 year old. If you are like most people, just the mention of the word "homeschool" conjures up images and ideas that lead to immediate understanding of the enormous change in lifestyle it may require. The realities of the commitment I have entered into have given me no choice but to temporarily cease operation of Studio 138. This effectively cancels all unscheduled holiday season availability.

Thank you all for the support and encouragement you have given me in my tiny photography business over the past few years. It has been a pleasure and a joy to preserve a bit of your family histories for you with the images I captured.

Although my subjects will no longer be paying clients, I doubt I will be able to put down my camera for very long. If you'd like to keep up with me in my journey through this crazy life, please feel free to visit my new blog at madhomeschooler.blogspot.com. Peace.

Shake It Like A...

Not new news by any means but just in case you didn't know:
POLAROID IS SAYING GOODBYE AFTER ALL THESE YEARS...
I trekked thru my little neighborhood the other day and actually learned alot in the realm of photography, mostly to slow down! and think about the shot before wildly clicking the shutter. There's something to be said for savoring the moment in which you chose to click. Having entered the hobby in an age of photoshop and virtually no-cost imagemaking, I find that the polaroid is an important link to capturing meaning and longevity through your photographs...
